Lump Sum Investment Calculator
How much can a one-time investment grow? Compare it with a monthly SIP.
Illustration only, using annual compounding. Mutual fund and unit linked investments are subject to market risks; past performance does not guarantee future returns. LIC policy benefits are as per policy terms.
Got a lump sum? Use it wisely
A maturity amount, a bonus or money from a property sale can be put to work in one go. Before investing it, keep emergency money aside and make sure your family has enough life cover.
For growth, a mutual fund or ULIP may suit long periods. For safety or lifelong income, look at LIC single premium options such as the Single Premium Endowment Plan, Jeevan Akshay VII (immediate pension) or New Jeevan Shanti.
Investing monthly instead? Use the SIP calculator.
How the lump sum formula works
Future value = Investment × (1 + r)n, where r is the yearly return and n the number of years. For example, ₹1,00,000 at 10% for 10 years grows to about ₹2,59,374.
